S'more

We did it! We faced our fears and took Ryne on his very first camping trip. We spent two nights "roughing" it at a campground about an hour away {thank goodness for running water and restrooms!} We went with two other families and everyone had a blast! The kids exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds and all played together so nicely. We spent time playing around camp, hiking part of the Appalachian Trail and swimming in the river. Evenings were spent by the campfire and roasting marshmallows for S'mores. Care to guess what Ryne says his favorite part of the trip was?!

Now that we know that it's not only possible, but, dare I say, quite enjoyable, to camp out with a toddler in tow, I think there are many more Lawson family camping trips in our future!
