Happy 4th of July!

Ryne loves to play with sidewalk chalk. When I asked a friend about good outdoor activities for the summer, she suggested sidewalk chalk and I nixed the idea at first because 1 - our driveway is gravel (not pavement) and 2 - there are no sidewalks in our neighborhood. Then I realized that our front porch was one big cement slab - and voila...hours of fun!

Ryne loves to "color" outside. He usually likes to make requests of things for us to draw for him: "Mommy, purple heart" or "Daddy, yellow circle." It's great for color and shape association!

But, most of all...it just makes my heart smile every time I see it!
