Happy New Year!

We welcomed a warm front on the first day of this new year! With temps in the mid-40s, we enjoyed lots of time outside in the snow.

We went out to build a snowman, and it was so much fun that we built a snow family! Meet Clarice, BoBo and Frosty. We picked the flattest...and yet sunniest part of our yard and ended up having to hurry out to the store to pick up our carrots because our snow family were starting to melt! Ryne was so sweet and wanted to give them a kiss and was talking to them, saying things like "We'll see later, Frosty. I'll miss you!"

It was such a gorgeous day, we decided to go sledding at a nearby elementary school field that has some great hills. Pehr and I took turns going down with Ryne, and he loved it. But, then there was a 3 year old girl there that was going down by herself, so we asked Ryne if he wanted to go down alone, and surprisingly, he said "YES!" Even more surprisingly...I didn't panic too much! He did so great, and the last few runs, he even went down on his sled laying down on his back. We all had a blast and after an hour or so, we were all pooped! So, we went to a late lunch at Subway.

It was a great start to a New Year!
