We went down to our favorite beach about half an hour away and enjoyed one of the last days of summer. The leaves are piling up in our yard, but we escaped the fall for the morning and soaked up all that the beach has to offer. We looked for seashells {which Ryne threw into the water} and chased after the birds {with Ryne yelling "Come back birdies!"}. Ryne did lots of running and did not stay still for long!
We were also fortunate to stumble upon the nearby Modelers Airfield where several large, fancy model airplanes were flying and doing tricks. Ryne loved it.
{As always} Click to view largerWe had intended on getting Ryne's haircut that morning as well, but couldn't get an appointment that fit our schedule. Hmmm...so, what's another week really? Soon I tell you...soon!
After a very good nap {go figure} we finished out the day with a trip to one of our favorite little ice cream shacks and Ryne and I shared a "Swamp" ice cream and Pehr got a chocolate dipped vanilla cone. If this was indeed the last day of summer weather, we made the best of it!

Sounds like a fun day. Summer is over in our parts as well - all the leaves are changing colors, but I love those colors.
