A Place to Call Home!

Today we finalized a contract on a home in Connecticut! We’ve been working on a deal since Saturday and finally came to an agreement. We're so excited that our house hunt is over! All of the inspections will take place on Monday and barring any unforeseen obstacles, we should close sometime towards the end of August. Yippee! We're so ready to settle down and get out of this temporary housing…in the last week we’ve had some uninvited visitors (ants!) and today our air conditioner started leaking (just condensation we’re told – whatever!).

Anyway, we really do feel like this is the home for us! We think it was meant to be. We actually made an offer on another house a week ago, but the sellers were unwilling to negotiate. Then we found this house and even though we tried not to, we still got attached to it. Thank goodness everything works out for a reason!

I’ll send an email update to everyone with the address and some pics once we close next month. But, for now I’ll just tell you a little bit about it. The house is located in a small, urban area just outside of Norwalk. It’s on over an acre of land and has a little stream on the property. The house was totally renovated and has a brand new kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. It’s 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath and 2,400 square feet. We’re so excited!
